My last rainy wedding of the summer (up to this point) was my first ever in this area. Merseyside if you believe the map, Cheshire if you believe the venue website! Rachel and David’s wedding used every corner of the sprawling Thornton Manor estate. The bride was in the Thatched Cottage getting hair and make-up done with her bridesmaids, whilst the groom was getting ready (appropriately) in the Groom’s Cottage.
Then Rachel and party moved over to the main house for dress installation, before heading downstairs to the Dining Room for the ceremony. This was followed by drinks in the Inner Hall, and time to fill in a note for the guestbook tree (!), then into the Music Room for the wedding breakfast amongst some of the most amazing table decorations I have seen. After a few drinks everyone boarded a bus to be shipped to the Lakeside Marquee where they found that the table decorations had relocated.
The hidden dancefloor was revealed by the lifting of the dividing curtain as Rachel and David performed their first dance, closely followed by some crazy moves by the gathered masses.
