Catherine and Matt – Wedding Photography at Guildford Cathedral, Surrey

So, in a two week period I had the father of the groom conducting the ceremony, then the mother of the groom as the best man, and we end with mother of the bride as the vicar. Obviously this gave me a bit of a leg-up in terms of the photos at Guildford Cathedral (regular visitors will be aware of my past experience with big churches and female vicars!) and I was able to capture Catherine and Matt’s entire ceremony and the amazing setting.

After the ceremony and a short drinks reception we all headed off to Clandon Park for the wedding breakfast. We heard tales of Matt’s struggle to get into the country from Australia where he and Catherine live (apparently you need a marriage visa – who knew?) and subsequent return trip to Australia, and back again in less than a week. That’s commitment!

Carly and Russell – Wedding Photography at Loseley Park, Guildford

After getting ready at her parents’ house in Wimbledon, Carly and her bridal party headed down the A3 to beautiful Loseley Park near Guildford. She married Russell in the Great Hall of the house before heading into the gardens to enjoy unseasonably mild conditions for late October! As the sun set, everyone headed up to the Tithe Barn for the wedding breakfast and party, featuring a quiz, a photobooth and lots of jelly beans.

Ann & Matthew – Wedding Photography at Gate Street Barn, Surrey

A very dark and rainy day to start November, and I was off to Gate Street Barn near Guildford for Ann & Matthew’s wedding. The barn is an amazing building constructed from oak trees felled in the storm of 1987, and the darkness and fairy lights made for a great atmosphere, and a nice challenge for yours truly!

Aki & Jim – Wedding Photography at The Carlton Mitre Hotel, East Molesey, Surrey

Aki & Jim returned to Jim’s native Surrey, from their home in Japan, for their wedding at the Carlton Mitre Hotel. The couple had to legally marry in Japan due to work commitments, but had a simulated ceremony conducted by Jim’s brother Dave (whose marriage to Clara I photographed last September).

The wedding featured all manner of Japanese details including a different monster for each table name (complete with toy version of said monster, which the kids had great fun with) and sake for the toasts.

Another ‘catch-up’ update. Emma & Antony were married on 5th May at the National Trust property of Clandon Park near Guildford.
