Daniella and Philip – Girton College, Cambridge

Valentines Day brought my first wedding of 2009, and my first at a Cambridge University college.
Daniella recently completed a PhD at Girton and chose it as the venue for her wedding to Philip.
The traditional surroundings were softened by small elements such as tables named after planets
in the Star Wars trilogies, and a relaxed and enjoyable day was capped with a very energetic ceilidh.

Marian and Daniel – Adare Manor, County Limerick

My last wedding of 2008 was over the Irish Sea, and most of Ireland, in a small town called Adare.
Adare is home not only to a very grand manor house, but also three ancient abbeys.
Marian and Daniel held their ceremony in the Trinitarian abbey, with the reception at the Manor.
A great wedding to end my busiest year so far.

Susannah and Graeme – County Hall, Matlock

The headquarters of Derbyshire County Council were the venue for Susannah and Graeme’s post-Christmas wedding. After the civil ceremony and wedding breakfast, guests were given the opportunity to work off some Christmas calories with a ceilidh.
