So, as promised here are my trophies from the Q2 2008 WPJA contest that arrived yesterday from the US. They’re not the prettiest things, so choosing a location for them is going to be a bit tricky! Time for a new shelf in the office, maybe.

Autumn appeared with a vengeance at my first September wedding. Due to a missing lace, Alex’s dress had to be tied up with string that was sourced from hotel reception. That meant she was almost 30 mins late arriving at church and she missed a window in the weather.
Coming out of the church was a different matter, and the rain held off long enough for everyone to get to Cowdray Ruins and settle down with some champagne in the amazing tent in the walled gardens.

Vivienne & Laurence have British, Italian and Lebanese origins between them, so there was a real mixture of guests who had travelled from all over the world. They had a few disasters in the run up to their wedding, including forgetting the wedding rings on the day itself, but temporary replacements were sourced from the guests and the show went on.
A great day culminated in a performance by an Elvis tribute act, chosen by Elvis fan Laurence, that was perfect for getting people up and dancing.
