Caroline & George
Caroline & George returned home to the Lake District for their wedding at St Cuthbert’s Church in Lorton, near Cockermouth. Then it was a short hop across the field to Winder Hall for the reception. The weather was quite normal for this summer: cloudy, muggy and with the odd shower of rain. A shower prevented Caroline from walking across the field to the church and so instead she arrived in a pick-up with a couple of dogs in the back. However, the weather lifted long enough for the newly-married couple to head back across the field with their guests in tow before the heavens opened again. A great day filled with fairy wings, morris dancing, hay bales and the most energetic dancefloor full of guests I have seen in a long time.
