Aki & Jim returned to Jim’s native Surrey, from their home in Japan, for their wedding at the Carlton Mitre Hotel. The couple had to legally marry in Japan due to work commitments, but had a simulated ceremony conducted by Jim’s brother Dave (whose marriage to Clara I photographed last September).
The wedding featured all manner of Japanese details including a different monster for each table name (complete with toy version of said monster, which the kids had great fun with) and sake for the toasts.

Dane Maj-Britt and her English husband Neil were married at The Danish Church in Regent’s Park, London followed by a reception at Lord’s cricket ground on the other side of the park. Danish weddings are not radically different to the common or garden English wedding, but there are little variations, most noticeably the number of speeches (I counted eight). Interspersed between these are other activities, such as all the women queueing up to kiss the groom, and vice versa. Great fun, but hard work capturing it all!

Following a ceremony at All Saints Church in the village of Headley, Hampshire, Orlanda and Mark headed to Orlanda’s beautiful family home, Headley Grange, for their reception. This house was the location for recording sessions for Led Zeppelin’s fourth album, and the song ‘Stairway to Heaven’ which was written there is rumoured to have been inspired by the staircase you see in the 7th image.
